Gratitude and Glasses
I spent 10 minutes looking for my glasses and found they were perched on top of my head all the time. I realised that gratitude is just like that. Off we go looking for things to do or buy that will bring us happiness, peace and contentment .... yet there it is, sat right in front of our faces. Gratitude isn't something you can only do if you are a lottery winner, off on world cruises or can afford a brand new car. Its much easier than that once you look; its a cheerful message from my best friend first thing in the morning, its a cup of coffee at home that tastes just right, a parking space near the shop, or maybe finding a pound coin in my pocket so I can use a tethered up shopping cart inside the supermarket. I find reflecting on gratitude turns my mediocre day into very pleasant day indeed. It might still rain, the dog'll still drag mud into the kitchen, yet once I've noticed the good things the other thin...
